Most co workers and managers I’ve worked with here have been super cool people. The job itself is also fairly easy and isn’t difficult for retail standards.

I started out as a product specialist. When I was promoted to assistant manager, I assumed I’d have a more stable and consistent hours. This did not happen. Some weeks I work 5 days others I work 3 days. I do not fault my store manager for this, as it was corporate who sent out a email to everyone in my district saying to cut down hours heavily for part time employees (even though our store’s sales were doing amazing at the time).Not to mention, corporate also will have us constantly changing things and being contradictory every chance they get. They force us to be understaffed with such little hours yet they expect us to do so much. This could just be a my store issue but either way I’m not impressed with how corporate handles certain things.If you want a stable and consistent work schedule, this is not the company for you.

1 free pair of shoe's per year.Fullfilling to help customers like the elderly shop for shoes they need.Coworkers are great.You get half off 6 pairs of shoes a month (but no one makes enough to buy that much) as well as half off other items (except clearence).

Barley any hours, you'll be scheduled 1-3 days tops a week. No benifits.No growth , you'll stay in the same position for years reguardless of work ethic.Upper management needs an attitude check and holds different people to way different standards. Some people coast and chill, while others are expected to do tripple the work per shift. Condescending and hostile work environment.

Very good set of management at the store level across locations throughout Orange/LA county. Friendly and experienced, always willing to help other stores with coverage and questions.Flexible hours and scheduling. Always willing to work with students and those with another part time job.Good training and expectations for new/continuing employees.Clear guidelines from corporate for daily, weekly, and monthly operations.Friendly and helpful, though very rigorous management at the district and regional level.
Cons
Only two full time positions at any but the largest stores, with one of those being the store manager and therefore highly unlikely to ever open up without another store manager from a smaller location taking its place. Now they are eliminating assistant managers in certain stores making full time work even scarcer.Very limited opportunities for benefits, since little full time positions.Very low payroll company wide, so hours and pay are low while management in a lower volume store is forced to work alone, sometimes for hours.No consistent scheduling.
