Aflac Reviews

Flexible hours and earning potential, but challenging start

04/14/2026 - Crown Point, IN

Pros

Set your own hours, can make lots of money, great networking opportunities.

Cons

No base pay, will be a grind in the beginning, tough to budget your life as you are starting out.

Management does not plan for attrition

04/03/2026 - Columbus, GA

Pros

Pay is competitive, 401k and bonus twice per year of about 2% per bonus if you do well. Remote work unless you live near an office. Flexibility when needed.

Cons

HORRIBLE dental insurance. Overload of cases, teams are continually understaffed. Management does not plan ahead and does not manage attrition. Promising clients more than we can do with our barebones teams. Managers demand more than you can possibly do in a work day causes frustration and burnout in teams.

Team growth opportunities overshadowed by micromanagement and layoffs

04/18/2026 - Columbus, GA

Pros

The friends I made there.

Cons

Getting laid off right before retirement. Giving up family time to work constant overtime that was not compensated due to being a salaried employee. Constant micromanaging and being targeted when concerns were brought up. I use to love this company and what it stood for. Now it just stands for outsourcing jobs and not caring about employees. We are all just a number and not family like they claim.

Good Experience

03/04/2026 - Bloomington, IN

Pros

It was a good experience to get my feet wet. I had a summer filled with approaching businesses and making cold calls. I had to find my own leads most of the time. It was a great experience of sales calls and learning the sales process.

Cons

It is commission only, which makes it difficult to get started.

Not for beginners

Managers do not care about the performance of their mentee, and people dont tend to talk in that high pressure working environment. They only focus on themselves and they dont really help you with the skills you need to excel at this job other than continue making phone calls.. 0 space for professional advancement
