Burlington Stores Reviews
Misleading HR and poor feedback. Looking to start a career, not here.
04/01/2026 - New York, NY
Pros
You are able to work mainly stress free with group partners for projects and your buddies are very helpful if you get a good relationship with them.
Cons
Absolutely horrible feedback. HR lying about everything, you will not regret going with another company if you have the choice. You will be manipulated into believing they actually want your work after the internship is over and lied to HR in your exit interviews and will contradict everything you get told in the duration of the program.
Good first job but low pay
04/16/2026 - null
Pros
easy first-job; good experience for what retail is like in general; management was friendly.
Cons
Pay wasn't as high as most other retail positions in the area, shifts were changed less than 48 hours in advance a couple times without any notice
It definitely has it's ups and downs... ☝️➕👇
04/25/2026 - Canton, OH
Pros
The discounts are great! If one of the good managers/team leads is working, I'll be able to get an extra smoke break or maybe even two. Otherwise, it's not happening. They've been very, very flexible with everyone's hours! Much better than anywhere else I've worked!I really appreciate that the majority of the staff haven't been racist, discriminating, judgemental, etc. They've given work opportunities to all types of people (they're not picky on one's race, disability, age, looks, etc). 👍 They really do seem to be an equal-opportunity employer.
Cons
There has been lots and lots of theft because they have absolutely no security other than their products' tags.Almost rarely do we see a janitor or the manager. It's been very hard to get used to coworkers because they're constantly going through staff! It's not just me that's been bothered by it. Plus, SO many staff, including myself, have always whined and complained about our lack of hours, but the full-time staff get overtime?!Yeah, the amount of hours absolutely sucks when it's not a big "shopping" time! Your best luck for getting your wanted hours is only around Christmas and back-to-school. 🙄
Good shift availability, but hostile management and unclean environment
04/30/2026 - null
Pros
Shift availabilityEase of training
Cons
Management was hostileUnclean environment
Pleasant environment for long term staying but poor communication and growth opportunities
04/09/2026 - Edgewater, NJ
Pros
Work Environment is Pleasent and Work life balance is promoted. Good team and manager.
Cons
Executive teams are not structured well... And project are not well plannned... And for contractors hybrid model is good. As of my knowledge internal teams doesn't have no growth even after years 80k -->87k for corp employee after working 6 years full time.Hiring process was too delayed as they had funding issues for the role and also no clear communication while taking off the contractors role due to budget cut. It happened while working and then after losing access you get an email on the same work day at end of day without any prior information or notice which i feel is very abnormal for such a big company with yearly revenue of 10B+ dollars
