Pros
Your coworkers are all nice people who are willing to help you learn. Time went by fairly quickly being on your feet and walking around so much. Most customers are nice and easy to deal with, which can't be said about other retail spaces.
Cons
Certain leaders are passive-aggressive, micromanage, and speak to their employees in a blatant condescending manner. It's almost like Bill Lumbergh kept asking me for those TPS reports. Moreover, some are so hyper-fixated on networking and furthering their own career goals that they seemingly neglect their departments almost entirely. God forbid that some of these people enter into genuine positions of power in society...

Medical benefits are incredibly good with Ikea.
Cons
Condescending management everywhere. Benefits are being cut every year, with rate increases. It is impossible to advance without befriending management to get advanced. IKEA just wants yes people to do whatever a few managers want, not to find the best solution that actually works. The service office does not listen or even care about what turmoil they cause for the staff in the stores.
