Active Duty benefits are free healthcare for all necessary services (prescriptions, surgeries, illness, ER, dental, vision, etc.) and many elective medical services (LASIK, dental braces, etc.). Benefits as a veteran includes heavily subsidized and-up-to free education for you, your spouse, and children at the federal and state levels.


Cons

WLB can be horrible in stretches, even outside of deployments. Supervisors/Superiors' quality range so widely that your annual reviews can make or break your entire career. Sup's rating "profile" is bad system.
