Supportive manager, but inconsistent communication and pay issues

The manager is always kind and fair. She truly cares about us, she is the hardest working person here and never too busy for us.
Cons
Despite getting a large raise the hourly wage is not enough. Managers are not always on the same page. Manager says one thing, hr says another and the supervisor says something totally different.

I really wish there were something positive I could say about ABM Industries, but my experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish.The onboarding process was a complete mess. As someone with significant experience in this industry, it was clear right away that the recruitment process is poorly managed. I had to complete my background check and drug test twice, and it took over three months just to get hired.Once hired, the situation didn’t improve. There was little to no proper training. I was given multiple responsibilities without clear instructions or support, leaving me to figure things out on my own. The training process is disorganized and ineffective, and the pay is very low considering the expectations and workload.After a few months, I realized this environment wasn’t sustainable. It felt like the only way to stay was to sacrifice your sanity and accept the chaos, which I wasn’t willing to do. I take pride in my work and believe in doing things the right way, and this company does not support that.Human Resources was also very unhelpful. From the beginning, I felt the need to document everything—and I’m glad I did. This is the kind of workplace where keeping detailed records is necessary.I would not recommend this company. If you do choose to work here, make sure you document everything—you will need it.
Toxic management and lack of organization ruin the job

Only pros are insurance and having a job.

Everything . Management is terrible , there is no organization. They harass you over cleaning and everything but never get rewarded for good work . They complain and are lazy. If you report anything to hr they will fire you after investigation. I was fired because I had an emergency situation with my mom and couldn’t make it in. They mocked my situation and fired me. The supervisors are unprofessional and they don’t know what they’re doing on a day to day basis . Every employee I’ve met has complained about the job .

No PTO or career track. Insurance is bad. Some locations can have bad managers that play favorites.
