Aspen Dental Reviews
Grateful patients but chaotic environment and greedy owners
07/29/2026 - Midland, TX
Pros
The patients were nice and most of the time were grateful.
Cons
The individual owners are often greedy. They expect the dentist to see at times over 2 dozen exams plus do multiple procedures creating a very chaotic atmosphere. Most of the clinical staff are new and have little experience. The company moves its bonus perimeters constantly to keep from paying bonuses. For example, you got a bad review because there was too much wait time. The dentist has little control over that situation but bonuses are not paid.
Room for growth, but ethical concerns about patient care
07/29/2026 - null
Pros
There is room for growth, but beware
Cons
This is a for-profit company so it’s no surprise they over diagnose patients to try to get top dollar.

07/23/2026 - Iowa City, IA
Pros

Cons
Fridays can become busy with calls
Supportive staff, but high volume and Saturday shifts
07/21/2026 - Oklahoma City, OK
Pros
Training Provided so learning is possible Supportive Staff
Cons
High volume clinic Work one-two Saturdays a month
Unethical sales practices and false expectations.
07/20/2026 - null
Pros
The benefits were good and I did have a great team in office.
Cons
This is not healthcare, this is SALES! Corporate will drill into your brain that if you let someone walk out the door without committing/paying for dental work, then you are "Denying them treatment and care." To get the sale they train you on "overcoming barriers to care" yes it is treatment you may need but how they go about their sales techniques is unethical, I was even told to suggest people use their 401k to pay for their treatment, apply for financing without telling them how it would affect their credit, and was recorded by corporate for every consult "sales pitch" and then scored on it. And as an Operations manager, being the only salaried person on staff, and in order to meet P&L's, you end of sending lots of people home and you working 50+ hours, which is never disclosed as an expectation when hired. There are some great dentists, but the business model is terrible and they royally bleed their office/operations managers.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU ACCEPT THEIR JOB OFFER
06/09/2026 - null
Pros
Training provided but not I didn’t find the training to be helpful and it wasn’t consistent and effective towards learning and application to the position’s duties
Cons
Before I began working for Aspen Dental, I saw the reviews made by their employees on Glassdoor and indeed and they were alarmingly low and at the time averaged a 2/5 star reviews by current and former employees. I didn’t think much of it then when I should’ve. I urge you to look elsewhere because I can promise you that the impact it will have on your life is absolutely not worth it. This is your chance to skip what will ultimately and indefinitely end up happening to you. No matter how desperate you are for any chance of employment, working here is in no way, shape, or form worth your mental and emotional stability and they 10000% don’t compensate you enough with what you’ll be responsible for
