Aspen Dental Reviews

Great hours and in-house appliance production

04/28/2026 - Glendale, AZ

Pros

Removable appliances and dentures are made in house great hours I get to start and finish all cases

Cons

Don't know how to say NO

Low pay and constant camera monitoring

04/02/2026 - Florida City, FL

Pros

Pay good is low for me

Cons

You have to be on cameras all the time and the very big on that

Bureaucracies of the Corporate World

04/09/2026 - null

Pros

They gave me a job when literally no other dental office in my area was hiring.

Cons

-Closed our office, along with 50 others, due to corporate bureaucracies. Hundreds of people were out of a job with no warning given.-Overworked my team. They focused on the quantity of patients seen per day, rather than the quality of the work we’d be able to provide patients.-Underpaid my team. The goals for the bonus system they had set out were so difficult to attain that no one ever succeeded.

Great training, but high staff turnover affects stability

04/07/2026 - Knoxville, TN

Pros

Comprehensive Training program that sets you up to succeed.

Cons

Staff turnover that causes OM to fill in constantly.

One of the best Aspen Offices

04/07/2026 - Niles, OH

Pros

Great leadership from Dr.Augstin the owner, excellent team.

Cons

Large number of patients, very busy.

A Place to Grow, Lead, and Make a Difference in Patient Care

04/16/2026 - Detroit, MI

Pros

Working at Aspen Dental has been one of the most growth driven experiences of my career. What stands out immediately is the pace. It's an is not an environment where you can stay stagnant. You’re constantly learning, adapting, and being driven to operate at a higher level, which I’ve come to really value. The team dynamic is a major strength. When everyone is aligned, there’s a real sense of momentum and shared purpose. You’re surrounded by people who are committed to patient care and operational excellence, and that energy is contagious. Leadership opportunities are also very real here. If you’re willing to step up, take ownership, and think like a healthcare business leader, those opportunities come quickly.Another aspect I appreciate is the focus on access to care. The mission isn’t just talk...you see it in how schedules are structured, how patients are prioritized, and how the team rallies to make sure people are taken care of.That said, this isn’t a passive workplace. It requires accountability, adaptability, and a strong work ethic. But for someone who wants to grow, build leadership skills, and be part of a fast-moving environment, it’s a place where you can develop quickly and make a real impact.Overall, Aspen Dental is a great fit for driven individuals who want more than just a job. If you want a career where they can lead, grow, and contribute to meaningfully, Aspen Dental is the place for you. At the end of the day, what makes it meaningful is knowing that the work we do directly impacts people’s confidence and quality of life. Being part of a team that helps patients smile again—and actually seeing that transformation in real time—is something that never gets old.

Cons

Patient scheduling and staffing gaps can create pressure on the team at times.

Great development and opportunities

04/23/2026 - null

Pros

development, financial opportunity, professional growth, flexibility

Cons

none, the position is demanding but rewarding

Run

04/24/2026 - null

Pros

The work itself is rewarding, Providing support to patients and their smiles and the office teams are the best part of the role.

Cons

That is where the pro’s stop however. This has been the most stressful, frustrating, disappointing, and depressing role I’ve ever had. And for that reason, the pay is not anywhere close to sufficient. They sell you on the incentives but then once in role, budgets are so high, you don’t see a dime. It feels like a bait and switch. People are so unhappy. It’s palpable. I’ve never before worked somewhere where people secretly hate their jobs so much but are terrified to be honest about it. But that’s not the worst part. The absolutely worst part: the Dr owners. I can’t speak for all regions, just those to include mine and those nearby. Most of the Dr owners are the brick wall between you succeeding and making a difference. They have no concept of empathy, recognition, appreciation, emotional intelligence, fairness, kindness. It’s numbers and money first. People last. You’re not a human being. You’re a robot that must be at their beck and call. The gossip, the drama, the entitlement. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. If you’re considering applying, I would advise you to run!!!

Good benefits and pay, but management is lacking

04/15/2026 - Texarkana

Pros

Good benefits, pay is good

Cons

Management, micromanaging, meetings biweekly, monthly and quarterly

Supportive management but sales focus affects everything

04/24/2026 - Boston, MA

Pros

Team FocusedGrowth OpportunitySupportive Upper Management

Cons

Work/ Life BalanceHeavily sales driven

Best Place to work if you are looking to grow

04/23/2026 - Orlando, FL

Pros

I started at Aspen Dental 5 and a half years ago thinking it would just be another job—a transition while I figured out my next step. But from day one, I was genuinely impressed by the culture of patient care and how much everyone truly cares—not just about the patients, but about each other as well.Since joining, I’ve grown both as a person and as a professional. The opportunities here are endless, and you are always surrounded by leaders and mentors who are willing to support and guide you. There have definitely been challenges along the way, but during those difficult times, I’ve always had the support of my leaders and mentors to help me push through and keep growing.I started as a lab technician, worked through different roles, and today I’m in a leadership position where I get to help other lab techs become better versions of themselves and achieve their own goals and dreams. That, to me, is one of the most rewarding parts of this journey. If you’re just looking for a place to work, Aspen Dental can be a good option. But if you’re truly looking to build a career with an organization that cares about you, invests in your growth, and gives you the tools to succeed, then this is definitely the place to be.

Cons

- Sometimes case be stressful

Shortage of competency with staff

03/02/2026 - West St Paul, MN

Pros

Ordering own equipment, instruments, cassettes

Cons

Lack of help from staff and incompetent staff

Good for some

03/26/2026 - Central, Cullman, AL

Pros

Hygienist is well respected by office. you can make your own schedule, and there’s a lot more autonomy than a regular private practice. It was a great job right out of school and provided training that equipped me for success later.

Cons

You do have to sell. I do think location of the office matters on how easy or difficult that is. New offices tended to perform better and it’s a team effort to get the a patient started on treatment. If the right team isn’t in place it can be tough to make your quota.

Good

Cons
