BioLife Plasma Services Reviews

Flexible work environment but micromanagement is an issue

04/16/2026 - null

Pros

Flexible, low stress, positive coworkers

Cons

Micromanaging of tasks, underutilizes nursing degree

benefits are good

04/10/2026 - Harrisonburg, VA

Pros

benefits and pay are good

Cons

work life balance not great

Horrible experience

04/07/2026 - Saint Paul, MN

Pros

Pay was decent and so were the benefits.

Cons

Management did not care for the wellbeing of the employees at all. We would be very understaffed on busy days but we would be over staffed on the slower days so they would send a bunch of people home. Most people don’t get to leave on time especially for closing shifts where we would have to stay up to an hour after our shifts ended. Many donors were horrible and would treat the phlebotomists like garbage, they would get aggressive and violent over things that we didn’t have any control over and management would hardly do anything about it. They would tell you to not come in if you got sick but then would proceed to penalize you for it if you didn’t have enough “sick hours.” I started to get panic attacks before my shifts because of how I poorly I was treated and how unsafe I felt.

Worst company I’ve likely ever worked with

04/19/2026 - Loveland, CO

Pros

The benefits are really good

Cons

The rumors run absolutely rampant here as well as they employ several people who have slept with or are sleeping with former and current employees and donors. The benefits are good but the pay is some of the worst I’ve made in healthcare. They have a policy of no lash back from what you say to management and that is not upheld. They also promote people who actively scream at other employees. Seriously dysfunctional!

Great training and flexibility, but miscommunication issues exist

04/15/2026 - Madison, WI

Pros

Great OTJ TrainingFlexible HoursGreat coworkers

Cons

Miscommunication of priorities and goals between management and employees

Good benefits bad everything else

03/05/2026 - null

Pros

Benefits and pay are decent

Cons

Everything else . No work life balance. And when you are home, work won't be done be ready to dedicate all of your time and mental health.

Overall cool

03/14/2026 - San Antonio, TX

Pros

Most of management is extremely nice, all supervisors are extremely helpful with questions and staffing needs. Co workers are extremely chill, overall a good experience.

Cons

Probably just the bathroom breaks but it’s not too bad.

MSS

03/21/2026 - Burleson, TX

Pros

Available hours and open 7 days a week.

Cons

Turnover of staff and consistent schedule

Great benefits low morale & management turnover

02/13/2026 - Colonial Heights, VA

Pros

401k match, tuition reimbursement, Bright Horizon back up care PTO

Cons

Poor leadership, unprofessional environment, hostile work environment, petty co-workers - supervisor are ….. idk

Medical laboratory assistant

02/17/2026 - Las Vegas, NV

Pros

On job training, and a license

Cons

Over worked and under paid

Environment

02/20/2026 - Lacey, WA

Pros

Great employees, part of management seems to care about issues brought up about center. Medical, sick, PTO, and employee assistance programs is worth working here. You get benefits right away. Lots of opportunities to move up in company and to relocate.

Cons

High turnover rate, especially with new people lately. We are never fully staffed, which creates a stressful work environment. Even when we are short staffed, we must keep high production because plasma is in high demand. If you work closing shifts, you are never off on time. They expect you to stay for the needs of the center. Being a lead or above you must be flexible, no set shifts. Only people below a lead tech. are allowed set shift. I personally have a problem with this, to each their own.

Listen to the bad reviews

09/19/2024 - Warner Robins, GA

Pros

They have very good benefits and vacation policy

Cons

If you want to be over worked and underpaid, this is the place for you. Seriously though, listen to the bad reviews. There is so much favoritism and back stabbing. There are TOO MANY managers/supervisors . You'll have 3 managers telling you to do 3 different things at once. Most of the donors are desperate for money so if you're screening them and they don't pass, they treat you like crap. Biolife also does not adhere to ada so avoid at all costs if you have a disability. There is a HIGH turnover rate for a reason.

No work life balance

09/01/2024 - San Antonio, TX

Pros

the position offered health insurance benefits.

Cons

Although BioLife says they offer health insurance benefits, I never received anything regarding my coverage I was actively paying for even after calling HR and the insurance company, same occurred with hsa card… never received it. Hours are wild. In one week you may open one day and close the next day and open again the following day. If you have small children, it’s extremely difficult to work a schedule like this. This job is great if you are a student, are single or have older kids. Otherwise it’s not worth it.

Had to leave

09/04/2024 - San Antonio, TX

Pros

Had good relationships with my coworkers and had decent pay for an entry level phlebotomist position

Cons

Super busy and on your feet all day and it’s hard to get a job outside of plasma since for some reason it doesn’t really count as experience unless you have a certification as well as plasma experience.

Okay, but stressful environment

09/24/2024 - Ypsilanti, MI

Pros

Great training, and overall easy concepts to follow as every process is standardized.

Cons

Appointment times being so close together make you feel like you’re running around the entire shift struggling to get to everyone. Donors can be extremely rude or inappropriate at times and management will do nothing.
