09/06/2024 - Memphis, TN
Pros
Facilities and equipment are top notch
Cons
finding staff in the area is tough for this industry
Great to begin but frustrating
07/02/2024 - Alcoa, TN
Pros
Ability to learn new skills occasionally, ability to set station up as you need, monday thru Friday work week, often giving out breakfast or having cookout on the occasion
Cons
You are not just a detailer you also have to be store helper, you rarely get over time, room to grow when someone leaves or dies or your there for more than a year even if your already taking tasks in from that job, constantly having work checked and scrutinized by others, often cleaning up after others in common areas.
Great organization overall.
07/19/2024 - Lewisville, TX
Pros
Great culture, great people, and year-over-year growth.
Cons
Lack of career advancement opportunities and lower pay compared to equivalent roles in other industries and companies.
Caliber
07/20/2024 - null
Pros
Great company to get foot in the door
Cons
Company only cares about profit and not taking care of employees. TAPS program to train new body tech is a joke. You sign a contract where caliber promise you a $2500 tool voucher then they try to get out of it by saying they can no longer honor the contract that you signed bc the company they was working with is no longer around so they give you a new contract without your knowledge or you signing anything. Then it takes months for someone in management to tell you anything bc they all say they don't know what's going on.
Great Place to work
07/20/2024 - Lewisville, TX
Pros
Many opportunities to learn both hard and soft skills in the industry
Cons
In office every day in finance but the office and people are nice
Don’t do it
07/29/2024 - null
Pros
Bonuses can be nice and I got good training. My direct manager is fantastic, can’t say the same about everyone above him. The people at my shop are awesome too.
Cons
Pay is overall not enough for the amount that you have to deal with. There is way too much expected of you as an estimator. Not only do you have to balance stuff with customers, your have to order parts, hunt down payments that haven’t been issued, wash cars, drive cars places, make sure technicians are happy, make customers happy. On top of that, if there’s too much work at your shop, they will take cars away from us and give them to other centers. No matter how good our shop does, it’s never enough. Even when we were number one in the region for a year straight, they never give us a break, it’s still riding us for not doing things right when every other shop in our region is doing horribly. Management expects more and more without proper compensation.Btw they pay parts and office staff WAY too low. They could work at McDonald’s or In-n-out for more money and they work so hard. Shameful. And they wonder why turnover is so high. Upper management doesn’t care about our employees. There’s also no work life balance at all. They even expect us to come in on Saturdays sometimes if our sales aren’t high enough.
Depends on location
07/14/2024 - Chicago, IL
Pros
Benefits are decent not too bad. Started my career here thankful for the opportunities
Cons
Depending on the location the work flow isn’t good enough for each tech to get paid
Awesome workplace
07/10/2024 - Dallas, TX
Pros
Love my amazing team, they are great
Cons
None at all. Caliber is great
Service advisor
07/08/2024 - Lumberton, NJ
Pros
If you are in the right shop with the right manager and staff you can make decent money
Cons
-If you are in a shop with underlying issues or too many service advisors, it’s a lot of stress and the money suffers - you are expected to be in for just under 50hrs a week - some of your pay is based off of customer surveys which sometimes is out of your control
Pay
07/13/2024 - Blacksburg, VA
Pros
Works is easy and 8 hrs 5 days a week
Cons
No days off when you need them, company not worry about employee health only work being done
Overloaded job
07/20/2024 - Tennessee City, TN
Pros
Allowed to work overtime and make overtime pay, there is always work to be done. Coworkers are like family.
Cons
Considered a manager level role without manager level payOnly 6 pd holidays a year. This role is considered the “gatekeeper” of the business with a lot of responsibility for minimum reward.
BTAP Program
07/20/2024 - Rosenberg, TX
Pros
Amazing opportunity to learn a new career while making money doing so. Has great benefits and weekly pay.
Cons
The only downside I would say is that your starting pay is hourly beginning until you are ready to work on your own and start making hourly on top with commission.
Great place to work
07/05/2024 - Murfreesboro, TN
Pros
