Gerber Collision & Glass Reviews

Great benefits start immediately, but few paid holidays

04/23/2026 - Knoxville, TN

Pros

Benefits begin on day 1.

Cons

Only 5 paid holidays per year

Easy work and friendly people, but PTO reduced

04/17/2026 - null

Pros

Work is fairly easy and straight forward. People are generally easy to get along with.

Cons

The company took away paid time off last year. Went from 18 days PTO to 10. Only 15 year employees get 15 days. They also fired a lot of support staff so even taking days off is stressful for everyone at the shop because there isn't anyone extra to fill in. I really don't recommend for any kind of long term employment or for people who have families. It's hard to work in a job that treats you as disposable.

Not terrible

04/12/2026 - Washington, DC

Pros

Good benefits, Decent salary. Left alone if performance is good

Cons

Staffing model is inadequate. If another employee is out on PTO, no help to cover job duties. One parts person up to $650k is a joke

Great benefits overshadowed by leadership's profit focus

04/28/2026 - La Porte, IN

Pros

Great healthcare and medical benefits

Cons

Leadership is more concerned with profitability than the quality of repairs and employee satisfaction.

Horrible company. They work for the insurance companies not for the customers

03/26/2026 - Cincinnati, OH

Pros

A slight step above maaco, or Earl Scheib.

Cons

Management. From your GM to the head of the company no one has experience in collision repair. I don't even know if any of them have the strength in the wrist even to turn a wrench. The cap material cost for the insurance companies. If you like swinging aftermarket parts and junkies parts you might like it. The healthcare benefits are horrible.

Too Many Conflicts

07/03/2024 - Evans, GA

Pros

Easy work, most team members easy to work with, PTO and other benefits.

Cons

Too many "couples" working together creating conflicts of interest and causing animosity with technicians. Couples then think they "run" the shop and nothing is addressed by management. Estimators are allowed to cuss out technicians and degrade other employees with no repercussions.

Too much politics

07/23/2024 - Houston, TX

Pros

Great pay with nice commission structure

Cons

The politics within the company will be the downfall

CSR

07/08/2024 - Greer, SC

Pros

Cons

Long hours, no flexibility, stressful

It's a job

07/28/2024 - Marquette, MI

Pros

Will let you take care of your personal life, very free flowing as a Detail Tech. Lots of work.

Cons

Will abuse your work ethic, make you do things youre not certified or trained for. Corner cutting budgets, unrealistic expectations, unorganized, improper management, disorganized, no structure

Pros

Cons

the normal corporate stuff that all large company's have to deal with

Cons

I can't tell you one thing that is bad about this company as long as you are doing your best and care, then you will be taken care of.
