For sure First Service is one of the best company in Canada and if I am to recommend, it's number one it doesn't consider experience or where you come from Resume, Resume nooo, thank you for the opportunity you gave me, and the love among coworkers is so great.
Cons
A few people who think the company is for the family led me to hate my work, they give you shifts in emergency and speak softly like they are good cancelled shifts is the course of the day.

Cons
Doing a good job could lock you into a particular property and block you from advancing to other properties. Insurance is expensive, I am insured through the Obama Care System.

Other community managers are helpful and engaging for the most part. Nationwide company so if you plan on moving they have opportunities and the pay is great compared to other companies

Inconsistent leadership support -Director-level guidance varies widely. Many established rules and procedures are ignored or selectively enforced, creating confusion and uneven expectations.• Favoritism among leadership - Decisions often appear influenced by personal relationships rather than performance or policy, leading to unequal treatment across properties.• Unreliable coaching - My director was minimally involved, frequently combative, and provided inconsistent feedback during one-on-ones. Expectations changed from meeting to meeting, sometimes contradicting previous instructions.Constant nitpicking - Small details were repeatedly criticized, and I was told to adjust processes based on another property's preferences, only to be told to change them again without clear reasoning.• Lack of stable direction - Guidance often shifted "on a whim," making it difficult to maintain consistent standards or meet expectations.• Unapproachable HR department - HR interactions felt cold and dismissive. Basic professionalism (greetings,acknowledgment) was often lacking, and their tone frequently came across as annoyed or retaliatory rather than supportive.
