Our coworkers are great and remote work is nice.

You will not get any base pay raises. They won't even give the bare minimum COL raises. Coworkers told me they are still making the same base pay as they were in 2020. They want you to make a livable wage by getting more contracts. The market is hard right now and they ignore this all the time. Meetings are constantly demoralizing and leadership complains recruiters are not trying hard enough. Nuwest leadership wants hardwork and loyalty, but throws workers away like it doesn't matter. They promised no more layoffs until 2025, but they tend to do massive layoffs near the holidays. You can't trust leadership. They also hire friends and family and give them leadership roles where all they do is micromanage and have no clue what they are doing. To save money, they have outsourced jobs to the Philippines. They also have some of the worst company benefits I have seen. No 401k match, they just add it to benefits to look good. HORRIBLE health insurance. Management will say they can't give raises, but take a company vacation every year. They don't even give xmas bonuses.

There’s a review on here that says all of this in a more eloquent way, but the people they have in Director/VP+ positions are only there because of ties with higher ups. They have poor business acumen and pick favorites. If you’re not in this group or aren’t related to any of the c-suite it’s impossible to move up despite there being “paths” in place to do so. It creates a very cliquey work culture where the people in leadership very clearly pick favorites based on who’s connected to who. I found there to be VP/directors that were blatant bullies. They highly discourage change despite saying they’re open to it and hiring folks from other agencies saying they welcome their perspectives— although I don’t know if they’ll be hiring very much since they’ve had several waves of layoffs and are nearing the size they were pre pandemic. The KPIs that were in place while I was there were based on data from two years prior, during the height of the pandemic- in other words it was impossible to reach them. Leadership was delusional to think the market was in the same state as it was during the pandemic. I’m honestly surprised the company is still in business.There are a lot of talented people that work here with hearts in the right place but it’s certainly not the people running it.

Job stability, work load, upper management, low commission, unrealistic KPI’s. It feels like they do massive layoffs every quarter and only keep the employees who were there during COVID since they still have their contractors (travel nurses). Upper management is a wreck, seems like they have no idea what they’re doing and not open to any feedback. Pretty terrible to lay off people right before the holidays too… really sad. Don’t expect to stay at this company for long because they will either lay you off, or work you to death due to the layoffs since you’re picking up all of their work.

Leadership is out of touch. They want you to stick to old formulas no matter what because it worked 10 years ago. You MUST call nurses even if nurses provide feedback that they prefer texts. You have to meet call requirements even if you are annoying the nurses you want to work with you. They go on and on about fake positivity and “growth”, but are passive aggressive and negative in company meetings. Leadership is normally very negative about KPIs. The new commission structure is a joke. It’s horrible for newbies. They do not value employees. They talk about value, but do not believe in it. Pay is horrible for the amount of work you put in. No bonuses. Their incentives are $10 Starbucks gift cards. More than 3 big layoffs a year. It’s going downhill.

Only pro was the base pay is higher than most, but they scam your commission if you are not at their high margins.

Toxic Mean girl attitudes, very clicky, they hire friends and family and discriminate against those who aren't. No trust! You constantly have to prove you are doing your job with meetings hourly and stats thrown in your face all day long. No possibility for upward movement or growth. Higher ups have no idea how to do the jobs they are managing and set unrealistic goals where every day you feel like it's your last. I saw every one of my colleagues cry on a regular basis.
