NuWest Group Reviews
Dysfunctional
01/21/2025 - Seattle, WA
Pros
Remote work, comprehensive training, and strong support team access.
Cons
Leadership lacked consistency and clear strategies, creating a high-pressure environment with job insecurity. The commission structure was discouraging and made it challenging to stay motivated.
Unrealistic expectations
01/23/2025 - Seattle, WA
Pros
fully remote work, flexible hours
Cons
KPIs were unrealistic for a post covid market, lots of favoritism in leadership among distribution managers and account managers.
Shady
01/24/2025 - Bellevue, WA
Pros
Fully remote position and worked with some amazing people.
Cons
Low pay, little to no raises. Constant layoffs, zero job security. Upper management lies and does not care about their employees, just their bottom line.
Proceed with Caution!!!!
12/09/2024 - Bellevue, WA
Pros
Working from home, monthly reimbursements, decent pay
Cons
Job stability, work load, upper management, low commission, unrealistic KPI’s. It feels like they do massive layoffs every quarter and only keep the employees who were there during COVID since they still have their contractors (travel nurses). Upper management is a wreck, seems like they have no idea what they’re doing and not open to any feedback. Pretty terrible to lay off people right before the holidays too… really sad. Don’t expect to stay at this company for long because they will either lay you off, or work you to death due to the layoffs since you’re picking up all of their work.
Tanking business

Pros
It’s nice that the job is remote
Cons
Overworked and underpaid. Do not work here if you have any interest in moving up or being paid a livable wage. There have been multiple layoffs and the company is a shell of its former self.
“Growth Mindset”
09/24/2024 - Seattle, WA
Pros
Coworkers are nice, remote work
Cons
Leadership is out of touch. They want you to stick to old formulas no matter what because it worked 10 years ago. You MUST call nurses even if nurses provide feedback that they prefer texts. You have to meet call requirements even if you are annoying the nurses you want to work with you. They go on and on about fake positivity and “growth”, but are passive aggressive and negative in company meetings. Leadership is normally very negative about KPIs. The new commission structure is a joke. It’s horrible for newbies. They do not value employees. They talk about value, but do not believe in it. Pay is horrible for the amount of work you put in. No bonuses. Their incentives are $10 Starbucks gift cards. More than 3 big layoffs a year. It’s going downhill.
Shiny Happy People
07/08/2024 - Bellevue, WA
Pros
Only pro was the base pay is higher than most, but they scam your commission if you are not at their high margins.
Cons
Toxic Mean girl attitudes, very clicky, they hire friends and family and discriminate against those who aren't. No trust! You constantly have to prove you are doing your job with meetings hourly and stats thrown in your face all day long. No possibility for upward movement or growth. Higher ups have no idea how to do the jobs they are managing and set unrealistic goals where every day you feel like it's your last. I saw every one of my colleagues cry on a regular basis.

Run
04/10/2025 - null
Pros
Nothing. I had a few kind coworkers that made it bearable.
Cons
This company will micromanage you to death. I cried almost every day due to stress and feeling like my every move was being watched. I was a high performer and still hated my life. Management is toxic, cliquey, and incredibly fake. Their techniques they used to attempt to hit KPIs were outdated and they still wondered why they didn’t work. This company is a sinking ship and they will blame anyone but themselves. I wouldn’t work here again if my life depended on it.
Moving to the Philippines
10/11/2024 - Bellevue, WA
Pros
Great coworkers and direct managers, remote work, flexible on PTO. Training was thorough.
Cons
Nuwest is moving compliance to the Philippines. There were 3 or more layoffs in one year, only for Nuwest to outsource our jobs. We weren't fired because we weren't keeping up with our work, the company suffered financially once the pandemic ended and they hadn't planned well. They do not give pay raises even after a year or two. Took bonuses away. They sweat the details and miss the big picture more often than not.
Fake "positivity culture" is insufferable and rampant nepotism and mismanagement will kill this company.
09/09/2024 - null
Pros
Fully remote work. Some genuinely great people to work with. Lower management/direct management cares about shielding you from C/D suite management and did a good job at such. Team I worked on was mostly great.
Cons
Worked here for nearly two years with no raise, and no opportunity whatsoever for upward mobility. This company went six straight quarters of mass layoffs until essentially every employee lived in daily fear of the next round of layoffs, and whether or not they would be a part of it. Unconscionable mismanagement of the entire company by executive leadership. Many individuals with high salaries with nebulous consulting-adjacent job titles retaining their jobs through layoffs due to rampant nepotism while the midlevel management and recruiters faced the brunt of the layoffs. Older tenured stalwarts of senior leadership and management across multiple departments have an unacceptably below-average grasp of new technology and software that had been adopted for more than a year, slowing down many processes as a result. Questionable optics from executive leadership and no transparency as to the actual health of the company left many workers in constant doubt and with a sour taste in their mouths. Layoffs also were made on a departmental basis and often included seasoned workers who were exceptional at their jobs in the crossfire. At the beginning of 2024 benefits were amended from 40 sick hours to 20 sick hours, and the consolation prize was addition of bereavement pay, if you were in a position to use it. Compliance department had workers moved from salaried positions to hourly and bonuses were removed, but offered "the opportunity to work overtime" to make that pay gap up.With many straight quarters of declining revenue and facing continuous layoffs quarter after quarter, the CEO made promises to return to a weekly town-hall format to keep the entire workforce apprised of the health of the company; this never materialized.KPI's for the compliance team were nonsense. An operations team was focused on number of outbound calls, rather than reliable metrics such as average days to compliant or successful onboarding of a new start. This was a consequence of the recruiting mindset pervading every aspect of the company, even to the point of influencing metrics for teams which did not have any basis in recruiting. These metrics were never measured against actual performance, they were merely a checkbox everyone had to complete by the end of the week. The most frustrating aspect of working here was the fact that almost every single employee of the company, in delivery/sales and operations, seemed to recognize and agree upon the decisions that needed to be made at the executive/recruitment leadership level. At its peak during the height of the travel nursing boom during the pandemic, NuWest had somewhere in the vicinity of 380 to 400 something employees. After the most recent round of layoffs, by my calculations they were down to closer to 70. Every single employee of the company is/was consistently stressed about the solvency of the company and wondered whether or not NuWest would be around in 12 months time. While the work-life balance of NuWest was appreciable, it said a lot that most workers that I interacted with while working here were actively searching for new jobs.
The worst company I have ever worked for......
09/17/2024 - null
Pros
The job is remote, coworkers were nice, pay is good.
Cons
Really bad management from the top down.
False Promises
09/25/2024 - Bellevue, WA

Cons
Low Salary, commission based, very heard to earn commission, misleading information, same leads for 100s of employees,
