Pay system is jacked up. You don’t get paid in full for each patients, you get paid based on productivity. Don’t ask what that means. You’ll never get an answer. They only give you 49% of your gas back.

The pay is decent as a hospice registered nurse. The way that you were treated in the very beginning is nice, but not continued.

Huge, huge territory for this location that made driving from one and to the opposite end almost 2 hours for patients.The current car program does not fit the employees needs and needs to be restructured.Clearly cannot trust your DOO, her leader, and neither the director of rapid response (in my area).Very, very little thanks and appreciation to employees.Lastly, and the worst: apparently they hire backstabbing people with no values, morals, or standards.

Good work-life balance, but concerns about leadership fairness

Initially, Amedisys offered a good work-life balance, valuable healthcare experience, and the opportunity to work independently. As referral volume decreased, however, it appeared the company was reducing or potentially eliminating referral coordinator positions.
Cons
Some senior leadership decisions appeared inconsistent, which created concerns about fairness, racial bias, and whether employees were evaluated equally based on their performance.
Caring office culture hindered by upper management's secrecy

Pay is decent although no raises this year due to UHC buyout. Office staff works well together and we do care about each other. Clinical Managers are very smart and very approachable. Office is flexible about medical and other appointments we have to make for ourselves.
Cons
Amedisys upper management is a slave to metrics, numbers, and stars. Always behind closed doors when they visit the office. Extremely limited communication and transparency. We never know what is happening until it has already happened.
