Coworkers are somewhat nice but no one they hire knows what they are doing

Hiring anyone off the street, staff leaving patients wet and with BM all night or all day, staff disappearing for a majority of their shift , staff always on their phones, staff sleeping on shift. Many falls happening because of staff not being present and checking on their patients.

If you enjoy working independently and not interacting with your team and not being challenged with your work its great.

Not team oriented. Don't want you to help each other to achieve goals, everyone has their work assigned and you finish it and was told not to help others. They have no interest in helping employees work to move up the ladder and work on more challenging tasks. It was here is your work finish it and be on your way. I prefer to work as a team and work with superiors on moving my way up the ladder.

The staff have to be a certain kind of people to be taking care of the elderly, especially in memory care. Many of them are kind and empathetic. Not exactly jaded but rather, task-oriented and willing to serve. The kind of people you would give a ride to work or give birthday presents to, without a second thought.
Cons
As a corporation, it is the job of upper management to see people as numbers. Food industry norms do not end here at a medical environment. We are still over worked with a skeleton crew and low budget. We are still seen as numbers and machines to push out results.

Cons
Pay rates are below industry standards for nurses, med techs, and care aides.Unqualified, unskilled non-clinicians are encouraged to overstep in aspects of facility management and operations that are far beyond their legal scope and comprehension. Horrific disrespect for nurses throughout the company (the only trained, educated, licensed, and legally responsible people in the ALF) .
