Relationships with die hards that you spent years in the trenches with. And you get it. Looking forward to seeing guests year after year.

Everything. Too much DEI. And it's toxic and hostile. I say this before Gen Z made that a buzz word and had no meaning. I started losing my hair. I have patches, toxic and hostile, seriously. Male employees can do what they want. Scream at people, throw things around, take a nap in the closet, be wasted ir high, or just not doing their job. It's whatever. But, when a female employee might have a frustrating moment, HR.When the minimum wage went up, they didn't raise the other hourly wages . So slowly, but surely positions that weren't entry level got closer to the minimum wage. I mean supervisory. Someone with no experience making a dollar less than a supervisor with years of experienceAlso, why are your ratings and reviews by race, gender, identication, and. other.weird things?? You have a 4 from blacks, 3.3 from Hispanic and a 2.8 from whites. Interesting that the MAJORITY of your employees have a lower rating than the minority. Say it without saying Atrium. You already have and that's why you had to keep selling properties. Because you don't care about your majority.

This company has failed its employees time and time again. I have been here for 3 plus years. Our property feels like you work in a warehouse with a fan, no ice machines work, food menu is way worse than a hospital cafeteria. We often dont have parking for employees (we can only enter one of 4 entrances, they are so greedy making money on park and fly and their sales clients that employees and transient guests are screwed parking wise. (And the poor guests have to pay to park and zero security in the parking lot) the hourly is far less than many hotel properties. If its raining outside, best believe its raining inside the hotel as well because just like the half way working a/c and half way working ice machines on all 11 guests room floors...they put a bandaid on everything. Atrium needs to do better.

Hotels are all showing their age and corporate leadership refuses to invest in needed upgrades for high performing hotels.Advancement opportunities are advertised but never realized. Leadership prefers to laterally move high performers to low performing hotels instead of letting them advance at their current property.Wages are stagnant AI implementation is counter intuitive to guest satisfaction goals. Guests don’t like having to get past chat bots and AI receptionists to speak with a person.Other cost cutting measures are also frustrating for guests (ie Thermostats that turn off when they don't detect movement in 15 minutes)Corporate Leadership seems to display a clear favoritism to Sales Departments. Refusing to remove poor performers and covering up for their mistakes while expecting other departments to pick up their slack.Leadership has been selling hotels off instead of renovating themPoor executive decisions are never owned up to and are pushed down to the property level for blame. (For Example setting unrealistic 2025 budget goals)Executive strategy seems to be forcing hotels to become leaner and leaner to maximize revenue while expanding corporate roles that don’t enhance value. Quick recruiting process with BOT. bi weekly pay and daily pay option. (When my leader approves my time each day rather than waiting until end of week) Hilton Discounts.

Physical plant at Embassy Suites North Charleston is a mess. 2 of 3 Dryers don't work so staff are running sheets to laundromat to dry. Presser does not work so sheets and other linen are wrinkled. Hot water heaters are shot. Many guest complaints so Corp came out of pocket to fix that. Rooms are renovated, but lobby is freezing in winter (which is also the Manager's reception area and restaurant) as heater does not produce. 5 leaders left around Christmas/New years. 5 more leaders left last week. I am looking for a more stable workplace, as are most of my colleagues.

Culture, associates come first with their SPIRIT Program which drives the culture. Provide the right tools to do your job, flexible on days/time working, pay is equal or better than competitors, benefits very good, exceptional Leadership in the AH Corp office and the Vice president of Operations (VPO) who support their respective hotels, fabulous recognition and very easy to talk to, all the way to the top. Work/Life balance very important and support the positivity of AH Culture.

I found none in the 4 years I worked with them at appx 12-14 hotels across every VPO region. Format not allowing me to name all of the locations.
