The main reason I stayed at the position was because of my coworkers and surrounding staff. They truly helped make the environment bearable.
Cons
Extremely over-stimulating and crowded on weekends (especially on Sundays after church). Retail store tends to be small, so over-crowding and personal space becomes limited during busy days. There tends to be 3 registers on average per location, and when one is out and there's a long line, it becomes extremely stressful. On weekends and holidays, due to the limited space in the store, limited registers, and high-volume of customers, the customer line will often flow and crowd into the restaurant area, impacting restaurant staff. Additionally. the main audience targeted by this company is the elderly, and it can be both equally frustrating and difficult to please them at all times (especially when they struggle with electronic payments and technology).

Poor pay, manager competency and commitment can be hit or miss, no full time positions, pitifully low amount of allotted hours for all retail employees. I cannot speak to restaurant staff experiences.
