I could see delivery in another area - one that has more affluent customers - being able to make more in tips which is where most of the money is earned. When it is slow the hourly rate for a driver is worthless for the work done - you are expected to do dishes and clean up the store as well as help with getting pizzas out of the oven and finishing the prep process, and prepare the sauces in the morning - things that can take away from money being earned as a driver. I wish the gas reimbursement was more than it is especially in this time when it is nearly $4 a gallon - that can add up to about $50 just to fill up the tank once a week.
