Cons

The customers can be sooooo annoying.

Large expectations, small property, cozy setting.

03/08/2025 - Park City, UT

Pros

Staff are incredibly friendly. Due to the small number of overall staff, it's easy to get to know everybody. If you have an idea, no one will stop you from implementing it yourself so long as it's not dumb. The Managers are very decent as well. Yeah some are difficult, but they'll never ask you to do something they wouldn't do or be able to do. Friendly too.

Cons

Hyatt's corporate HR and their departmental policies have consistently been a slow-acting poison to the Hyatt corporation and their hotel functioning in the year or so I've been with the company. It is not just myself that they've annoyed (putting it kindly). They have 0 qualms about treating fellow employees and my friends with a double standard and then will smile about it. Personally, my healthcare was massively screwed up by our HR department based out of Chicago. No apology was ever given. They're not great at all.

Pros

Great Culture and cares for their employees

Cons

nothing that I can think of

Toxic but pays well for now

03/15/2025 - Old Greenwich, CT

Pros

Under union contract, this on-call position as banquet server pays well enough that you can have downtime without too much financial worry. Spanish as second or first language is helpful.

Cons

Management is staggered with some good and understanding of the work and others barking and yelling. (you always have to keep your eyes on the $) Too much talking about the other behind each other's back. Too little attention to detail --- most employees do what is ordered/asked and that is about it---little initiative on cleaning back halls without being asked, or refreshing inventory. On-call people work hard and yet do not get any health benefits, just 401k and discounted rooms.
