Scheduling is very flexible if I need more time for a patient I can schedule accordingly to best fit patient needs, PTO accrues faster than any office I've worked at before, fair compensation plans, collaborative culture that seeks to elevate the standard of patient care

Holidays are not paid need to use pto if you want pay for a holiday

We have so much fun in our office. My team is amazing. My doctors are very kind and compassionate. I've been managing now for almost 10 years but started out the front desk and then went to billing department before accepting the manager position.

I am a happy RDA of 23 years in the Dental industry and this fall of 2025 will be my 10 year anniversary with Smile Brands! Being with SBI corporation has made me feel more a part of a large dental community than just a single dental office or group practice. Smile Brands allows us to connect with our fellow SBI family all around the US. They do fun contests yearly and broadcast the various offices involvement in the contests and that makes us feel like we get to know each other and it helps strengthen the great culture we maintain within SBI. SBI offers ample opportunities for growth, job placement and great compensation packages. SBI has offered me a lot of comfort during a tragic death in my family recently and took care of my Bereavement for me. This meant a lot to me to be taken are of during this tragic time. One thing I will always show gratitude for is that during Covid 19, SBI continues to take care of their furloughed employees medical insurance. I appreciate the many benefits and compensation package provided to me by SBI that a lot of small practices are not able to offer their employees such as : sufficient PTO, sick pay, medical insurance, dental insurance, 401k, life insurance and my favorite of all...my HSA account!! Smile Brands has a lot of talent working with them within the company with readily available resources for help and growth at all times. Some of the best! They also provide on-line learning courses for their licensees to make it easier to obtain CE credits! So many win-wins! Thank you SBI for all you do!

I had to think long and hard to come up with a con. The only one I have in my heart at the moment is that I am a solo RDA in my busy office and I am patiently awaiting to onboard a new RDA to help with my workload. My office is very busy and we are currently looking for our new team member to join and this has caused some stress on my work-life balance. I have been left as a solo RDA in my office several times for long periods of time when it is a two assistant office. I am hoping we can find our new team member asap! One concern I have is that I see some offices have more staff support than others, and we need to be moving staff around daily to help lighten day to day based workload.

You gain valuable skills in customer service, administration, and healthcare, making it a great place for professional development. Team members are always willing to lend a hand and support each other through busy times, fostering a strong sense of camaraderie. The office environment is upbeat and positive, making it a pleasant place to work. Achievements and hard work are regularly acknowledged and celebrated, which boosts morale and job satisfaction.

However, there are a few challenges to consider. The workload can vary greatly, with some days being extremely busy and others quite slow, which can be a bit unpredictable. Occasionally, you may encounter patients who are challenging to handle, requiring patience and strong interpersonal skills. It can be challenging to balance everyone's input and ideas, especially when opinions differ. Additionally, there can be an unspoken pressure to fit in with the team culture, which might not suit everyone.

Working for Smile Brands has its pros and cons. On the positive side, it has provided me with excellent opportunities to grow professionally and gain experience in every department within my field. The leadership has been a great source of support, offering guidance and fostering a positive learning environment.

However, on the downside, one challenge is the limited availability of higher management positions, which can make it difficult to continue progressing in my career within the organization.

Pros
Working with my regional manager has been a great experience. She is incredibly easy to work with, always approachable, and very understanding of different situations. She's highly knowledgeable in her position, and it's clear she has a deep understanding of the business. One of the best things about her is that she is always willing to roll up her sleeves and get hands-on when the team needs it, which is not something you see often. Her willingness to help out, answer questions, and offer guidance really sets her apart.
Cons
The only challenge I’ve encountered is that, due to her busy schedule, it can sometimes be difficult to get a hold of her immediately. However, this is understandable given how much she manages on a daily basis.

Smile Brands has been an outstanding organization to work with as a general dentist. I have been given so may opportunities for growth and encouragement along the way in my career. I have loved their resources on elevating the standard of care and helping our office implement more services to provide the appropriate care to our patients.
Cons
Only con I can come up with is that I wish there were more Smile Brands offices in my city, including specialists to be able to collaborate with on cases.
