The remote work environment is one of the biggest advantages. Most corporate staff have the ability to work remotely, especially as many other companies are requiring employees to return to the office.I'd also say this a great place to start a career, gain experience, then move on.

In my case, the working hours are (7 am to 2:30 pm), and I work close to home.

Terrible management. Managers have their favorites who can do whatever they want, they don't follow health and safety policies, without suffering any consequences. Employees who work well are punished with more work because the others do the bare minimum and you have to do everyone else's work. No recognition for good work or for working more. Management want you to go beyond your assigned duties without any salary adjustment. The problems you present to management are swept under the rug. Management has no interest or ability to deal with problems.Management is always expecting you to do your best but doesn't provide any support.Management promises promotions, improved pay, and opportunities to study, but only to get you to dedicate yourself more and give more than is expected of you in your responsibilities. In the end, nothing that was promised is actually delivered.You need to learn to work in all areas of the kitchen and customer service to cover absences, or because they are always short-staffed, but no kind of reward is offered.It's not uncommon for you to have to do your job and that of two other people because those people are absent and management doesn't hire relief staff.The supervisor claims to have 20 years of experience in hospitality but has no idea how to manage a team.If you point out errors and problems in management or question anything about the minimal work that the favored individuals are doing, you will be persecuted and burdened with even more work.The workers who have been there for many years think they can boss everyone else around and do whatever they want, and management simply won't go against them. In fact, it seems that the older employees are the ones in charge because management will ask their permission or guidance before acting in any situation.The little benefits that they offer are fake, because gaining access to any of them is nearly impossible. And management has no idea about the benefits you're entitled to or how to access them.

Supportive management and great pay, but tough commuting

Set schedules allow you to plan activities for days off. Very little change in scheduling. Management supports the unit very well and will always be there to assist when necessary. Top pay in the city for supervisory roles.

Airport job makes you dedicate extra time out of your day to commuting. Staffing is rough. Qualified people don’t get the job. People with highest seniority do. Union account makes managing difficult and can sometimes feel as if they are out to get you.
