Pros

Great coworkers, that’s literally it.

Cons

They will work you to the bone until they can’t squeeze any more labor out of you. Until you get carpal tunnel and a bad back and you’re burnt out and your mental health is shot. This job has made me so incredibly misanthropic and pessimistic and it’s only gotten worse under Brian Niccol.

I only like it because it's like papa's freezeria

Pros

You’ll meet some great people, and I personally felt that making drinks for people was really fulfilling

Great Work, Terrible Management

10/20/2025 - null

Pros

I love experiencing the tangible results of my work: tasty drinks and satisfied customers.

Cons

I can't stand the corporate nonsense, the gaslighting from management, and the very short leash given to anyone with responsibility. Benefits are okay, but the take-home pay is insultingly bad relative to

Good for Flexible Time in Your Life

10/20/2025 - null

Pros

Shift supervisor position pays well and raises were yearly until successful boycotts. Since then they're only interested in paying the CEO more. Flexible scheduling. Comprehensive benefits. Upward mobility.

Cons

No guaranteed hours or scheduling. If you're part-time you may struggle to qualify for healthcare (22+ hours/week). Most stores are understaffed, which makes for a stressful work environment. Managers are hit or miss. Most drink the company kool-aid and are not on the workers' side. If you're willing to sell out and drink their kool-aid too you can move up. Generally, the company does not listen to baristas or value their input unless they're in the news for something bad.
