Meal tickets based on how many hours you work, so you can get sandwiches for “free,” really nice Christmas gifts and Diana is a wonderful person

Depending on who worked before you or who you’re working with, the shift can go amazing or horribly. Some people don’t pull their weight and that leaves you in a horrible position. You also have to be on certain days and if call if somebody calls off you have to go in.

15 dollars an hour is pretty good for a starting job, although it was technically 7 dollars an hour, with an extra 7 dollars added if you did your job. Tips are nice. 50% off one sandwich. Short-ish shifts if you are part -time. Training is decent, with a bunch of videos you need to watch before starting and a good coworker or two to help you along. I started at a slower Subway nearby to get the hang of things before being put in the busy Subway I applied for.

Constantly moving shifts. It was sort of my fault for saying yes to every open shift opportunity, but there was never enough people showing up. I never knew when I was going to be called in for the day. It was always understaffed and my coworkers always had to make up shifts for people who never showed up. People quit all the time as well. I didn't have much time to get to know my coworkers before they were gone.There were also times when I had to cover shifts for other restaurants. They were all around 20-30 minutes away but I thought I would only be at one Subway, Not 4. There were two schedules, one on the app and one in the restaurant. Sometimes they were different from each other so clarification was needed. Clarification is always needed.Food safety is a thing and I didn't see a lot of it. A week after I quit one of my coworkers told me about a bug in the spinach. The bin where we pulled meat from was barely cleaned. Dishes were done well at least. I don't think anyone checked the stickers on the containers before putting them on the line.The Regional Manager was kind of manipulative as well. These are the biggest reasons I left so quickly. Too many red flags and not enough green ones. It's hard to stick around if nobody else is sticking around either.
