⭐☆☆☆☆ — A Cautionary Tale for Anyone Considering US Foods Menomonee Falls
10/22/2025 - Menomonee Falls, WI
Pros
No pros - this division is a mess.
Cons
US Foods Menomonee Falls is unfortunately one of the most poorly managed operations I’ve ever been part of. My exit survey reflected exactly what I experienced day to day: widespread favoritism, inexperienced leadership, and an extremely toxic culture that stifles growth rather than supports it.Management is unqualified and inconsistent, with decisions made based on who you know rather than what you contribute. There’s constant turnover because good people either burn out or leave once they realize how little this company invests in its team. The environment is disorganized, demotivating, and completely lacking in accountability. If you’re someone who values professional development, fair treatment, or competent leadership, this is not the place for you. I would strongly recommend considering Sysco or PFG instead, as both are companies that actually care about their employees, support their teams, and foster real career growth.

10/06/2025 - Rosemont, IL
Pros
Leadership really cares for their employees and the enables teams to support their employees. Most employees stick around for a long time. Lots of opportunities to work on fun and engaging projects.
Cons
Market level employees have very minimal input on their work/life balance. (Primarily speaking to commuting)
I do not recommend
10/13/2025 - Rosemont, IL
Pros
Only in office 2 days a month
Cons
Too many to list. A core value of the company is "you matter" and you literally do not matter at all. Promotions are definitely not based on skill. Talent is not rewarded.

Cons

This place is a joke
10/22/2025 - null
Pros
They allow remote or hybrid for some positions
Cons
Good lord, where to start?… This company seems to be deathly allergic to efficiency on every possible level. SAAS salespeople out there must phone in their sales goals and just adore the CTO as it seems USF is religiously dedicated to purchasing as many database/software programs as possible, and the less they integrate with one another the better! I’ve never seen such a large company rely so heavily on some random spreadsheet that Susan in Milwaukee made up and passed around; the amount of critical data just sitting in sketchy sheets on random employee desktops around the county should be cause for an investor-wide panic attack. Employees are forced to find work arounds like this because the absolute crack circus that is the tech suite used by USF seems almost punitively unnavigable. I imagine USF has a team of sadists sitting in a dark basement somewhere munching on stale saltines and sipping flat dollar store cola who are dedicated to making every task as complicated and un-intuitive as possible. Their little “stop waste” motto would be fantastic if it weren’t so hilariously off target. It’s honestly a miracle (and testament to the employees’ dedication) that any customer ever actually gets their deliveries. In addition to the entire ordering/delivery process being unnecessarily complicated for customers and employees alike- US Foods seems equally dedicated to making any employee benefits/HR questions/etc as complex a maze to navigate as demonically possible. About 3 years in and I have seen as many CEOs come and go- along with countless middle management and co-workers. If being trapped in an endless game of “telephone” always getting 4th hand incorrectly translated information sounds fun… or if you’re a chronic people pleaser with a boarder-line unhealthy work-ethic and you need to have that ground out of you and replaced with ALL the apathy… or you just really enjoy getting a cost of living increase on your pay that’s less than the cost of living actually went up, effectively leaving you with a pay cut while the CEO de jour boasts of record profit on a townhall zoom call… then… this is the place for you!

Poor leadership
10/08/2025 - Everett, WA
Pros
Benefits, independence and... Trying hard to come up much.
Cons
Low pay, unrealistic expectations, never ending toxic pressure, weekly threats during ROI calls, rotten company culture, inept out of touch leadership, AI management of delivery, routing, pricing and ordering, inflated prices, convoluted pricing management ,waste, poor time sucking convoluted training , shareholder first, customer last, And! SCOOP! Scoop scoop Scoop Scoop!!!!!!! Scoop is a drain. Scoop is a reason to quit Replenishment team is understaffed, transportation team is unaccountable, deliveries are incomplete and late. Drivers are not trained and unsupervised. Management is callous, distant and suspicious. Since US Foods has acquired FSA, an arguably better company, in 2019 US Foods has been on a mission to be their own worst enemy. Learning nothing from the competitor they absorbed. Never ending turnover of VPLS, Area presidents, CE0, Specialists, 6 different compensation programs in 6 years!
