Produce clerk

02/21/2025 - Corvallis, OR

Pros

Good department managementDecent pay Good coworkers

Cons

Tough upper management Repetitive Lose starting pay

Not for everyone

02/22/2025 - Meridian, ID

Pros

Typical retail where they make you feel like everything comes secondary to the job. Illnesses, deaths in the family are less important than arriving to work. Guilt trip you for even considering taking a vacation.

Cons

Random hours and no consistency.

Some things to know before applying

01/04/2025 - Edmonds, WA

Pros

Easy going and understanding boss. (As long as you take responsibility for yourself)Straight forward job for the most part. Good on the job training from not only management but fellow employees. You can always find something to do to keep busy in the building. Some of the best and most friendly co-workers I have ever had. Would not trade that for the world.

Cons

This is not a good first-time job. I've seen that time and time again. There are lots of elements to juggle.Corporate has recently really been cracking down on not accumulating overtime to the point of disciplinary action from management if you stay late. So you must do everything you can to remain on track. For the last couple years there has been a new head of the company they have made several changes to cut costs that really screwed over some of the employees. Such as consolidating Deli and Seafood into one department and therefore taking a management position away from one employee at each store.

Great job

01/04/2025 - Vacaville, CA

Pros

Good pay, great benefits, flexible hours

Cons

Not enough time to train

Managers suck

01/09/2025 - Goodyear, AZ

Pros

They were friendly at first.

Cons

Friendly because they are 2 faced.

Employee-owned

01/06/2025 - null

Pros

Employee owned company. Many can retire as millionaires.

Cons

Discounted grocery store will not be able to compete with other corporations and changing business landscape.

High-paying, NO HS Degree, but Very Hard Work

01/22/2025 - Boise, ID

Pros

-Work hard, get to listen to music/podcasts and if you don't break any obvious rules management will leave you alone.-$30/hr for top step which for a non-HS degree required job is pretty good-Incentive pay, usually make 115-120% performance as a picker. At 120% that adds $6/hr (now $36/hr).-20% ESOP, if you earn $100k, they will give you annually at the end of March $20k in ESOP stock (now adjusted pay is $43.20).-If you love to exercise, this role is for you.

Cons

-This job is hard physical labor, you have to hit 100% performance or we (myself included) do not want you here.-Some employees are constantly negative and only a few I even enjoy working with.

Cons

One of the worst run places I’ve worked. Pretty high turnover for employees who work there under 3 years. HR doesn’t seem to be considered as far as employee satisfaction
