CVS Health Reviews
Excellent teammates/culture and work/life balance, mid benefit and promotion opportunity.
04/19/2025 - New York, NY
Pros
The team cultute and the teammates can be one of the best you can get - I am close to them in private too. And work life balance is pretty good (although this could depend on a team)
Cons
The promotion has become really stingy - more or less byproduct of economy and our stock performance. And the health insurance is not the best - such an irony considering we are health insurance company
Good for beginners
04/28/2025 - San Marcos, TX
Pros
Rewarding, extensive learning, coworkers are fun
Cons
Fast paced, low pay, rude customers
Great place to coast into retirement
03/24/2025 - null
Pros
Work life balance is amazing. Best wlb I have ever experienced at any company ever.
Cons
Don’t expect to grow or learn much. Tremendous amount of red tape. Extremely dependent on your manager. Disorganized tech stack. Data isn’t valued as much as in tech (clinicians/MBAs will make decisions that contradict data). No working outside the US. Pay isn’t great. Also, there isn’t a strong enough filter on talent. You will work with some amazing people (usually they have strong morals which keeps them out of other industries) AND some absolute bozos who somehow sneak in through the lackadaisical interview process (usually into non-technical roles). TLDR: if you want to coast and don’t mind doing completely menial&useless work bc some XFN who just joined the company thinks it’s a great idea (even if you know it won’t work), and don’t want to argue and just do what your told, join up! Your WLB will be amazing!!

A great start for pharmacy
12/07/2024 - Orlando, FL
Pros
Work life balance, opportunity to move up, and as long as you do your job your supervisor will leave you alone.
Cons
Pay sucks, when you become a lead there’s more work but no additional pay, pay increase only once a year and max raise isn’t a dollar, takes 2 years to become a PSR II, the3 bonuses they give a year is nearly impossible to get and not much opportunity for overtime.

Retail Pharmacy is Horrible
12/09/2024 - Indianapolis, IN
Pros
Great company benefits. 401K, Health, Dental, Vision but that's it.
Cons
Poor Management. Your overworked. Roughly 80 percent of customers are extremely rude. Managers lash out at you and think it's ok to harass their technicians. When the pharmacy Tech is doing all the work to run the pharmacy. Thirty hours is full time at CVS, which is not right. They need to change that to 40 full time so all work can be done and not left for the next day and you don't fall behind. People need 40 hours and set schedules. No more Flex Schedules. Hours need to stop being shared or more hours given to someone else just because. Employees need 40 hours to make a living wage and higher wages. Position is high stress and bad for your mental state and bad on your body too. No sitting is allowed. That needs changed. Pharmacist should just stick to their craft. They are not built to be Managers too in the retail setting. CVS just needs to hire Managers to manage the department in Pharmacy because apparently a Pharmacist can't wear multiple hats. The coworkers are terrible too. CVS is a bad company and treat employees very poorly. They just care about numbers. They don't wear there Heart on their sleeve or care.
