Busy location so the holiday season was a festive and lively place to work. If you're energized by being around a lot of customers and colleagues from diverse backgrounds, this is the place to be. If you work hard and have a positive attitude, there are opportunities to move up.
Cons
Low pay. If you move up, they are always short on closers. Try to walk with someone to your car late at night.

When managers don't like you, you can tell their actions towards you, they'll treat you like you stupid, you're dumb, in front of other employees, by embarrassing you totally disrespects you, like you don't exist, like You Don't see the childish game they playing towards you, mobbing, smear campaign, head games, sabotage, tries to trigger certain selected employees for a reaction so they can fire employee, they're looking for, you can't give no trust to the managers, it's kind of scary it's kind of creepy. Manages making these employees suffer mentally the ones they do not like for their own reasons they're firing a lot of good people for their own reasons not for the company's reasons HR protect entitlement managers when managers treat a certain employee like crap in front of other managers these managers will ignore it, this is not a safe environment. How do Macy companies allow this kind of stuff. And to top it all you give them the respect that they do not deserve, if you reflect the same way they reflect on you they wouldn't like it.

I loved being a fulfillment associate, lots of fun, and independence.
Cons
The manager started scheduling me outside of my established availability without talking to me. Corporate tried telling me when I was available, so I left.

My Opinion Working at Macy's

Pros
The overall aspect of what the Macy's corporation stands for (giving back to the community, having "fair" hiring practices relating to gender, race, nationality, no limit on age), Macy's deserves to be recognized for these positive attributes. This goes without saying, but the employee discount is definitely a "plus" to working here along with the fantastic sales that Macy's is always having.
Cons
Not enough hours for some full-time employees, Seasonal employees are hired and make more per hour than the full-time employees. This is not right. You're unable to advance or change positions if you're not considered a "favored" employee.
