MultiCare Health System Reviews

MultiCare Behavioral Health

01/14/2026 - Tacoma, WA

Pros

Supportive supervisors/team, health benefits are good especially if you get your medical care in-house, competitive pay, continuing education budget, PTO accrual was pretty good. I left because the commute got to be a bit much for me and a few other practical reasons, but I do miss being there.

Cons

Crazy caseloads and all the other trimmings that come with working in a community mental health setting, plus the expected corporate BS that comes from working for a massive company. The supervisors do their best to moderate the impact.

Demanding job

Different departments

01/17/2026 - Tacoma, WA

Pros

Different departments have different values - when you have good leaders, you have good culture.

Cons

Annual raises are dismal, even for high performers.

Cars always being broken into at allenmore location

01/25/2026 - Tacoma, WA

Pros

Good benefits and great coworkers

Cons

I lost so much money in vehicle insurance from all the break ins. Ridiculous

Poorly Trained and Inexperienced Leadership

01/21/2026 - Tacoma, WA

Pros

Many team members and colleagues are caring people who are committed to the mission.

Cons

C-suite leadership frequently promote department-level leaders based on length of time they’ve worked at the org or who they’re friends with, not on skills or leadership ability. The organizations doesn’t have formal training for new leaders to set standards and establish expected leadership behavior. They lack a formal HR process for employees to report an issue with a leader at any level in the org.

Difficult Employer to work for

01/06/2026 - Seattle, WA

Pros

Co-workers are generally very good and nice.

Cons

Management is very bad. They have no plan but like to dance and sing a lot at employee gatherings and pretend everything is going well. They seem to have no idea about how hard everyone is working to try and keep afloat. Then on top of that they will outsource jobs with little or no indication of a why other than it is for progress. Your job is never safe. In the last set of outsourcing they let go people that had been working for over 30 years and had constantly been high performers.

Good Place to Work

01/29/2026 - Spokane, WA

Pros

Good schedule, not overworked, flexible management

Cons

Sometimes can feel very corporate

Don't recommend

01/22/2026 - Auburn, WA

Pros

You get to work from home

Cons

They tell you there's room for advancement but every job you apply for they turn you down you don't advance unless you work here for years and I mean years the pay is low is constant stress demanding patients rude and the call volume is very high and very stressful and overwhelming people constantly calling out to turn around is ridiculous there's constant training classes back to back to back to back because people quit as soon as they get on the floor because the stress of the job is too much I do not recommend working here. There's also a lot of micromanaging you get it from the patients you get it from the managers it's just constant stress all the time the most stressful job I've ever worked at by far.

Poor Work Life Balance and Poor Leadership

12/10/2025 - Olympia, WA

Pros

Pay is ok benefits ok. PTO not so great

Cons

Poor new inexperienced leadership. They will badger you till they break you. There is a lot of favoritism here. It was pointed out to me when I first started here but I paid no attention to it, till it affected me.They will work you many hours after your paid 8 hours without compensation and when you bring it up to them all they have to say is "That sounds exhausting".There is a lot of cover up going on that CMS should be made aware of that they do for their favorite people.I can not recommend this disorganized place at all. They will run you ragged and when you are leaving ask which patients can be missed visit to not inconvenience their favorites.Oh dont forget you will have to use your PTO for holidays off! But hey you will get most of them off! They also like to announce employees leaving in a mass email like an airport departures but in a negative tone!I cant stress this enough do not come here!
