MultiCare Health System Reviews

Racist against black African Americans

02/26/2025 - Auburn, WA

Pros

0 but if you like clicks and are a white woman you should be fine getting a job here

Cons

Racist - very racist company if you’re not white. Very judgemental- hiring team

The pay out weighed the discrimination

01/02/2025 - Olympia, WA

Pros

Some of the best reasons to work at MultiCare are the pay and the flexibility with your schedule.

Cons

The downside of working for MultiCare mainly retail health or Indigo is the outright discrimination and bullying that goes on within the company. The managers do and will pick favorites and will let the favorites do things and then claim there is no business needs for the ones that aren’t the favorites it’s actually quite sad and I’ve seen a lot of amazing healthcare workers get screwed over.

Decreasing benefits

01/02/2025 - null

Pros

Lots of learning platforms and access to modules and resources

Cons

When I started with mulitcare, residents were offered bonuses and rns were given loan repayment assistance. Neither of those are offered anymore.

Low pay

01/28/2025 - Yelm, WA

Pros

Team I worked with was knowledgeable.

Cons

Poor leadership and low pay.

Overall a good place to work

Okay

01/27/2025 - Tacoma, WA

Pros

Good coworkersGood casesGood managers

Cons

Constantly short staffed call pay for techs is not great. Being in a union with non-medical staff results in bad contracts

Micromanaged

01/18/2025 - Tacoma, WA

Pros

Remote, decent pay, knowledgable coworkers

Cons

Micro managed, HR horrible, was hired exempt and put hourly making micro management 10 times worse!

Enjoy working get

01/30/2025 - City of Spokane Valley, WA

Pros

Good work culture. Enjoy working in this system. Good benefits.

Cons

Not the best at staying up to date on EBP and having good resources at all hospitals for staff.

Discrimination, racism, lack employee health

01/23/2025 - Lakewood, WA

Pros

-Decent pay (not worth it with a full caseload) -Good supervisor (to an extent)-Made a good friend (coworker)-Supervision hours were consistent with a supervisor but not a manager (need hours for licensure)

Cons

-Inconsistent supervision hours with manager -difficulties with discourse hour sign-offs (still missing a signature needed to apply for licensure) - My coworker (friend) passed away. I feel Multicare, and the clinic managers and supervisors were given a heads-up about the individual needs. Still, I felt they lacked compassion and urgency in protecting and providing resources to the employees. -Experienced constant microaggression, racism, and discriminationThe clinic manager told a lie and, when confronted, admitted it, but it is now listed in my evaluation as true. I felt like I was not believed and really ruined my experience working in the clinic, and I am not the only one who left -Covid protocol was all over the place when i was sick-Was told I was too supportive of Black clients (my job is to advocate for those in need in primary care settings)--- I did not want to leave the Multicare system, but my clinic team was not the best, and I liked my role and supervisor. I would have loved to have been at a different clinic, but I could not continue with the abuse I experienced in the primary clinic in the Puget Sound region

Mostly Positive

12/20/2024 - Tacoma, WA

Pros

Values, local notoriety, history in community

Cons

Its infrastructure is not built for excellence or national scale reputation.

A good place to start

12/03/2024 - Yakima, WA

Pros

Great coworkers, good values. Company seems to want to change and grow.

Cons

The company grows too fast, sometimes leaving some issues unresolved before they move on. Upper-Upper Management doesn't seem to listen very well.

Draining

12/04/2024 - Puyallup, WA

Pros

Getting to be able to help people.

Cons

Nurses do not help you if you are short staffed. You will always be short staffed. You will work like a dog.

Coworkers

09/28/2024 - Spokane, WA

Pros

Coworkers were really nice and hospitable.

Cons

MultiCare corporation likes choosing the hard way when it comes to negotiating the needs of employees.
