It's not a skill-intensive job. Because of the very low job retention rates, if you stay, you'll typically move up quickly.
Cons
You'll have many interactions with a plethora of characters, and sometimes catch flak from other coworkers who are not doing their job. As with constant new workers it creates many inconsistencies

I have worked for multiple PF franchises and across the board I have encountered fantastic upper management. The company holds the values of integrity, transparency, passion, respect, and excellence.
Cons
Training for both staff and club level management is often subpar. However, the information is obtainable for those who seek it.

Working at Planet Fitness is great because the atmosphere is super friendly and welcoming. Employees get discounts on memberships and can use the gym for free, which is awesome if you're into fitness. The hours are pretty flexible, so it’s easy to balance work with other things in your life. Plus, the work environment is active, and it’s fun to be around other people who care about fitness.
Cons
The downsides are pretty minimal—pay can be a little low for entry-level roles, and there’s some turnover, but that’s common in this kind of job. You might end up working a late night or weekend shift once in a while, but it’s not all the time. Some jobs can be a bit physical, like cleaning, but it’s manageable. Part-time workers don’t get benefits, but it’s not a dealbreaker. And yeah, sometimes dealing with a tough member can be a bit stressful, but it doesn’t happen every day. The work can be repetitive at times, but it’s nothing you can’t handle, and if you’re in a smaller location, there might not be tons of room for advancement, but it’s still a good job overall!
