Supplemental Health Care Reviews

Recruiting

01/21/2026 - Buffalo, NY

Pros

Bonus structure is good. Work life balance is great. You’re allowed to take time off.

Cons

The bonus structure is great IF you can hit a certain FTE, base pay is terrible. The micromanaging is getting worse. Benefits are very expensive. PTO “unlimited” with a very set limit.

Lovin' It

12/19/2025 - Surprise, AZ

Pros

Supplemental Health has been wonderful to work with. Right from the beginning, My recruiter has been extremely helpful and attentive, making sure that I and the Job are a good match.

Cons

I haven't encountered any Cons yet.....

I feel like I was lied to

03/06/2025 - null

Pros

The people on the teams are great

Cons

You aren’t given access to recruiting sources. No indeed, no LinkedIn, no Monster, nothing. You literally have their database to work with (which is over saturated from all the recruiters in the region working these same jobs, calling the same people every couple days, and dealing with those candidates being frustrated because they’re inundated with calls, texts, and emails) and MAYBE Vivian if they’ll push for you. You’re required to make 60 calls a day, and you’re lucky to talk to 3 people. During the interview they make it seem easy to get placements and commissions (on top of your $22 an hour), and it’s like trying to find a needle in a stack of needles. The whole thing is a joke, and they set you up for failure.

Remote recruiter

03/14/2025 - Buffalo, NY

Pros

Great coworkers on my team

Cons

Lowered pay from salary to less $21 hourly. Hours mostly capped at 40 per week. Company takes 20% - 26% from nurses pay each week before depositing pay - all contract type agencies take a cut but 20% - 26% is more than most other nursing agencies. Company has dropped in employee size.

Do not recommend

03/20/2025 - Buffalo, NY

Pros

None that I can think of

Cons

If you care about your mental health then don’t work here! You will be interrogated and criticized every step of the way. They will figure out every possible way to take money from you and you will never be able to understand your bonus report.

Love it

Pros

Great place great people great office!

Cons

None! I love my job

Salary

02/27/2025 - Buffalo, NY

Pros

Good atmosphere, good leaders. Remote.

Cons

High stress. High expectations. Tough market

Pay is low

02/08/2025 - Amherst, NY

Pros

People at the job are wonderful

Cons

Rate of pay doesn’t match the work you’re expected to do. No one has seen a raise since 2020. Yet they send top people once a year to some place exotic, or they spend money on holiday parties and food here and there but no raises.

Used to be a good company

12/07/2024 - Buffalo, NY

Pros

Some real cool people work here

Cons

Company is getting around state mandated minimal salaries by making existing staff hourly. They are already the lowest paying company for travel nurses and now they are also screwing their recruiters. So many great people have left due to this and other cost cutting scams. They laid off over 100 people in 2024 but the COO keeps bringing in her pals at the C suite level.

11/18/2024 - Cottonwood Heights, UT

Pros

Good place to work. Good managers.

Cons

Doesn’t match 401k at the moment. Permissive time off, isn’t permissive. Hours are tracked.

Don’t waste your time

11/27/2024 - Park City, UT

Pros

Flexibility, time management, I like meeting new people.

Cons

Overly competitive and lacking proper employee support.

Not that great

11/12/2024 - Buffalo, NY

Pros

Flexible schedule, ability to work remote

Cons

Poor management, higher ups do not care about recruiters they just want results, do not have 401k match anymore.
