Great team but low pay and limited training
08/19/2026 - Taylorsville, UT
Pros
Great team dynamic and genuine friendships with coworkers. The complimentary employee meals were a nice perk. Scheduling was flexible and accommodated our availability well.
Cons
Compensation is below market rate for the position and role responsibilities. Management shows limited concern for addressing wage concerns or career advancement. Training programs are insufficient for newer employees to succeed in their roles
A Masterclass in How Not to Hire
08/19/2026 - null
Pros
Responsive — the recruiter and his boss kept the early conversations moving and communicated well.Personable — the first two interviewers were genuinely pleasant and easy to talk to.Thorough — they clearly wanted input from multiple departments (arguably too thorough).Transparent — perhaps unintentionally, they gave a very honest preview of the org's internal dynamics.Prompt (early on) — the initial screening stages moved quickly before things stalled.
Cons
If you've ever dreamed of solving a company's entire organizational crisis for free, boy do I have the opportunity for you.It started promisingly. A great call with the recruiter in early July, then a solid conversation with his boss. Two rounds, two passes, real momentum. I was told the next step would be a panel interview. Reader, it was not a panel interview. What actually happened was five back to back 30 minute interviews with five people from five different departments, four of whom I would never work with, stretched across a glorious 2.5 hour marathon. Turns out "panel" was a fun little code word for "cardio." Each interviewer showed up with their own questions, their own priorities, and absolutely no evidence that the other four humans existed. If there was a shared rubric somewhere, it was in witness protection. The best part was how fast the theme revealed itself. Nobody was aligned on anything. At some point it stopped feeling like a job interview and started feeling like a free consulting session where I gently diagnose why their hiring is a dumpster fire. Good news, I cracked the case. It's a dumpster fire because senior leadership was heading for the exits and nobody left in the building had gotten the memo.Total timeline: almost two months. Total payoff: a ghosting so complete I briefly wondered if I had imagined the entire company. And when I asked how many roles were still open since we'd started, the number had somehow gone UP by three or four, because leadership was leaving and, everybody now, no one was aligned.Credit where it's due though. They were incredibly consistent. The chaos I experienced across those 2.5 hours was a beautiful, honest little trailer for the chaos I'd have been signing up for. Truly the most transparent interview of my life. They showed me exactly who they were and I took notes.Had they actually made me an offer, I would have declined faster than they added new reqs. Sometimes the red flag isn't a warning sign on the way to the job. Sometimes the red flag IS the job.
