Residents are amazing, never a boring shift, very nice facility
Cons
team dynamic can be iffy/unreliable, things are always being misplaced or stolen, food given to residents is not the healthiest especially for memory care. Too many burgers/hot dogs for people that can barely feed themselves or have teeth.

-Lots of interesting, varied activities to do with residents-Building relationships with a sometimes forgotten demographic-Learning wisdom & life lessons from those who've been there - really!

-Strict management style with fingerprint time clock, very rigid schedule-Holidays aren't usually given off - when you need to run events!-Can be sad to work with elderly at times, and have to bring energy yourself

Management is awful. Literally scamming the elderly. Residents are treated poorly. Food budget is almost non existent. I've watched food be thrown on the floor and served to residents. The place is filthy. All management cares about is money. Everything is phony fake and a show

Incredible clientele. A select number of staff that genuinely does care. It’s clear who is there for the residents, who is there for the paycheck and who is there to make sales.
Cons
Mismanaged, unhealthy work environment, unreasonable expectations, improper support from higher ups. Boss hardly on the floor. Sales over residents.

Some residents are genuinely sweethearts. Easy to get a job because someone is always leaving.
Cons
There will be one too many days where there are no cooks, not enough servers, and missing inventory. We get the retaliation from the residents and no compensation for the extra work.People are leaving because directors are micromanaging breaks while not letting you work overtime. They claim to "support" but are nowhere to be found in our busiest hours. They tell us to not tell residents whenever we are behind because we have no chef/staff to "keep quiet and change our narrative". We bend over backwards to get what the residents want but get all the criticism from things out of our control. Sometimes servers are also dishwashers due to staffing.

The residents and staff were nice. The pay was okay.
Cons
They had me doing several jobs, Waitressing, meal prep, bussing tables, dishwashing, and housekeeping because they were so understaffed. They threw me into waitressing by myself on my second day of training without any help after only shadowing for one single meal service. I was expected to start cleaning a whole floor by myself after only one week of training for my first ever job.
