Supports bullying, have went to management and HR and nothing has been done. Throws the nurses into work with little to no training, very unsafe practices.

Pros
Christus gives out bonuses usually twice yearly which is really nice. They clinics offer reasonable hours.
Cons
Expectations and favoritism. PTO is not paid out if you quit or get terminated. So, if you have earned but unused PTO, it's forfeited. The PTO policy changed around 2023, I believe. New hires don't get as much time.

Hospital creates there on policy that goes against state. They will restrain a patient under 1 order. MD will never come by. Got report on confused mawmaw had been restrained 11 days. Orders are to expire every 24 hours. They don’t care and that’s from management too. When I said to my manager that it was not okay I was told that it was okay here.

Some areas with high turnover and ALOT of new grads. In general healthcare is a mess, but you shouldn't concentrate new grads to one area of your hospital.

1) The education department is outstanding. 2) Benefits are far superior to Ardent Health / UT.
Cons
1) Favoritism. One ex-coworker routinely had multiple open rooms each shift while other nurses went several shifts without an open room.2) I was routinely asked to perform skills during my orientation period that I had not been checked off on at Christus…but then had four check-offs with the manager on AIDET and two check-offs on how to wash my hands. 3) Inappropriate workplace conversations regularly occur at the nurse’s station. 4) Some nurses watch Netflix or play games on their phones with no consequences while others are reprimanded if caught texting their spouse/children.5) A coworker had her time card edited and two overtime shifts she worked disappeared from her time card. The manager blamed a “computer error.”
