Pros
This was great learning experience adding knowledge and value to the position that I hold, allowing me to teach account managers and staff more in detail of why operations work how they do to ensure a great dining experience! Also I learned great ways to manage and offered lots of input as well as received great input! This was very beneficial.

Cons
Management was inconsistant; and didn't give much in technical training on a variety of necessary management skills. There was no support. I studied and became a CDM but i never worked or was offered a chance to manage a kitchen.

Job description and assignments were not in line with what was expected of me. Horribly low budgets for staffing and cost per plate. . Treatment of staff was awful. Very untruthful company.

Pros
Working with the company as a Dietitian was a good experience. I enjoyed withing with the operations district an regional managers ensure the best quality of care for the residents we were contract with.
Cons
As years went on the Dietitian component increased and when it came time for my annual evaluation and honestly I could only remembering getting one. During the evaluation the Dietitian boss stated that I wouldn't be getting a annual raise/increase because I was making to much money. I relocated to a different state and 4 years later the company lost the contract . They made no efforts to work me as a Dietitian.
The focus is the budget and not the managers nor staff

Well the manager can't never hire because of the low budgets so they use the manager consistently and when the manager speaks up about it, they are criticized and talked to like there are teens

Its a job and the online training

Low paid, long hours, if someone calls in and they do daily at my building, its all on you. Your employees treat you horribly and there is nothing you can do, HR sides with them. You write them up, they complain to HR and you get in trouble. I aak the regional manager, corporate chef and others to visit the building and they say no. District manager hires her daughter to run a building then she stays at her building everyday and ignores your request for help

I've had a great time working with HCSG -- the job is very flexible, PTO is good and management is super supportive and helpful.

You have to subtract mileage from your commute reimbursement.

The job itself allows for challenges to constantly grow my knowledge in the industry. I enjoy working with the patients and staff at my buildings. And as a working Mom, I've loved the flexibility the job offers and the immense opportunities there are to move up the career ladder. Highly recommend this company.
