If you know what you want you can get hired here at ssd and transfer out. But transferring to traditional help is next to impossible as inion members get precedence

Hard to transfer to tradtional helpd desk as that is a union position amd ssd is non Union. Go figure?

Way too politicalPerformative -talks a good game but actions don't align with values. Senior leaders do not care about their people. Everything is too siloed and at the expense of the members. People are burnt out so don't want to go above and beyond. Lacks creativity in problem solving

Cons
overwhelming inbox. no panel cap. They want you to be a robot pill mill that is quick and makes the patient happy ( read give out stimulants and benzos like tic tacs) , regardless of if you feel that this is appropriate. They will never tell you to do this, it will all be off line. People who do this move up and get cushy positions with less patient care hours and lower inbox obligations. The others are work horses that they will try and burn out before they can qualify for pension or retirement benefits. Retirement is a pie in the sky with many benefits that few work horses are able to attain without mental health or medical cost. Not even talking about moral injury. Cronyism and alternative facts on morale feed leadership hierarchical culture. They want yes men, not critical thinkers.

Workload is immense. You’ll be stretched multiple ways. Too many competing priorities. Constantly being pulled. Constant changes and reorg and restructure.
