Several excellent employees who really care and want to help. Also - my layoff severance package was better than I expected.
Cons
No one outside of coaching team was ever on camera during video calls - so impersonal and cold. Data (success metrics) use technical and financial jargon that most people don't understand - not motivating or actionable. Offshore development woes put massive barriers in the way of every squad's productivity. Medical staff was genuinely uninterested in patient validation - leading to disjointed, confusing user experiences. Product team leadership did a whole lot of talking about cross-functional collaboration instead of actually working together and making progress. Design and research were treated as separate agency-style shops entirely, separate from product development. Culturally, there's a term referenced broadly as the "Kaiser nod" - an unfortunate common occurrence where people silently nod to agree when someone discusses making improvements, but then do nothing to help or change despite previous agreements. Stagnancy abounds. No wonder there were data privacy issues, patient experience dead ends, and so many layoffs - I was one of them, along with my manager and half my team. It was pretty sad to watch.

Horrible schedule. It’s union based. I know worked every closing shift and weekend for 3 years because someone has to get hired to replace my schedule. It’s based off seniority. No rotation.
