Pay was way to low for the type of care provided and the hours worked, was supposed to get weekend differential pay and never received any, high and sometimes unsafe patient to tech ratio, poor work place morale, high burn out rate.

-Very early work days and frequent flexing of nursing staff due to patients who do not attend schedule appt requiring PTO to receive full paycheck-Requires increased self-awareness due to struggles with emotional projection of some (not all) of the patient population-Some dialysis techs who do not work well w/ others and create friction w/ staff and patients

Perfect stepping stone to get your foot in the healthcare field. That being said - they will literally hire ANYBODY..

Compared to other dialysis providers, I found that DaVita operated in a more corporate-driven environment, with a stronger focus on operational metrics than on patient-centered care. The workload for technicians and nurses was significantly higher, often requiring us to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously while still maintaining quality patient care. In contrast, other industry peers tend to distribute responsibilities more evenly, allowing staff to focus more directly on patient needs. Additionally, compensation did not always reflect the level of responsibility and workload required.

Patients are great and usually easy to get along with.
Cons
Mean girl nursing staff. Never given a chance to get into a routine. Constantly told to do one thing then asked why I was doing that and not something else. If you didn’t kiss up to management you were on the wrong path.

A clown shown. Good staff all run away. Why work for irresponsible management who don't treat you with respect and like a human being while hypocritically championing communication and what not. There is no sense of safety there. No team work. Each for themselves. Bullying from top down. Forget it. Don't waste time here.
