The only things that kept me at this job for as long as I was were the relationships with coworkers (that management seemed to hate, because we would talk to each other while clocked in), the employee discounts, and the weekly pay rather than the traditional biweekly pay. That is it.

Where do I even begin? This was the worst job I have ever worked, My mental health has been at its lowest point since I started working here, To start, most if not all of the management have allegations of some kind against them whether it be for sexual harassment, racism, ableism, hitting on young (YOUNG) female workers, etc. HR complaints rarely get followed up on, and if they do, they are months late and no corrective action is taken. Do not assume any conversation that you have with anyone, even HR or other people in upper management, will be anonymous or confidential, even if you ask them to remain anonymous or confidential. I had an informal conversation with a PIC about a supervisor, and that supervisor found out about the conversation and held it against me for the rest of my time at FM even if they did not externally show it. The HR manager himself has said that he hates being there at the store. Upper management is utterly out of touch with its employees. To them, we are just bodies that keep the store functioning, There is no curiosity or care about who we are as people and what our unique needs and desires are. Not to mention that depending on your department and your shift, the work could be absolutely mind crushingly boring and depressing but no no no! No earbuds! No music or podcasts! Upper management wouldn't want you to maintain any sense of individuality, personality, or sanity while you're scooting products around on those shelves, now would they?I warn everyone I know who mentions applying to FM that it is absolutely not worth it and will absolutely suck your soul straight out of your body until you feel like an empty husk of the person you once were. Do not do it for your own sake. The money is straight up just not worth it.

Unsupportive upper management Toxic work culture, unpaid overtime is rewarded and even expected or forced, even to the tune of multiple weeks in a row with no days off when you are salaried. They claim to support work life balance but even the smallest effort to set boundaries is heavily punished. Not paid as much as we should be for everything we have to do and deal with
